Furthermore, those that do care or take this seriously, generally lack critical thinking and a wide range of information to wisely integrate the most salient aspects of a complex subject. Thus, they still deal with the complex situation in limited and – naturally - divisive ways. The rejection of involvement on the ET issue is due to prejudice, disconnected awareness of personal connections with other realities, an excessive fear of change, of losing social standing and an instinctive tendency toward short term, zero-sum, status seeking, thinking, behavior and emotions.
